Video: Scripting, Directing & On-Camera
This double-interview webisode for Booze and Bites carries on a new, more formal sit-down format established at the beginning of this quarter as I chat with the GM and the chef about the restaurant's history and offerings.
What an honor! The Lounge Channel's main sponsor actually specially requested that I personally host the Chinese New Year Lounge Around Town special due to their enthusiasm for my work with their steakhouse. I bring a little cultural flavor to the noodle bar, too, as we talk about authentic eats while welcoming the year of the pig.
I was so honored to have been chosen by the production company to host the highlight video of The Lounge Channel's primary sponsor, Resorts World Casino, conducting an interview with Chef Gabriel in a new sit-down interview format as we talked--and tasted!--through what I dubbed a Winner's Dinner at the posh venue.
The way to a man's heart is through his stomach ... but in this second episode where I host the online food series Booze and Bites for The Lounge Channel, I throw that golden rule by the wayside to stuff my own face instead.
First experience reporting and creating a pack from the red carpet! Netflix NYC premier of the prequel for Jim Henson's cult favorite fantasy, brought back to life by his daughter.
My very first spot for Booze & Bites, a web-based series of fast food (not "fast food") snippets for Spot On Media/The Lounge Channel, sponsored by Resorts World Casino. As much as I loved showcasing the delicious comfort food at Restoration Kitchen, I enjoyed talking about their unique mission and non-profit business model even more. 8.3K views and counting!
My first independent project for a food-focused reel, this is the first of a series of four videos I scripted, shot, and produced in just one weekend ... with a little help from my friends. Here, I interview the owner of Claws Seafood Market about his famous lobster rolls in a piece that went microviral, garnering over 4.5k views in less than one business week.
One of two videos shot in one day and completed from inception to finished product in one weekend, this interview with one of the bastions of Long Island restaurant royalty brings to light the eco-initiatives and philanthropy that responsible restaurateurs engage in to better the communities they serve.
Another human interest piece that delves into the impact those in the food industry have on the community, this video holds a mirror up to a restaurateur whose establishment's growth parallels that of their reinvigorated town.
Another #OnLocaTIon video! This time, a resort-specific one, focusing on building the prominence and creating buzz around a new construction, Hotel Xcaret Mexico.
Uplifting, inspiring, and heartwarming, this branding video concept follows the journey of a symbolic travel agent as she discovers the world with Travel Impressions. I'm so proud to have acted as the creative director for this project, which has become a flagship introduction for the company and what it stands for.
With every #OnLocaTIon social media takeover, I add tactics as technology evolves and opportunities present themselves. I created a mini-campaign around the company's first Facebook Live event, planning, loosely scripting, event marketing, and pulling in PR support as well as playing the on-camera host.
In this video that I scripted, directed, and appeared in, we playfully teased the #OnLocaTIon we were embarking on to combat negative press about Puerto Rico. I was project lead for all aspects of this social media takeover, from PR to creative direction to content gathering and copywriting.
Before embarking on a solo #OnLocaTIon social media campaign, we released this video--where I not only starred, but also wrote and directed--teasing the features in store.
A recap video showing highlights of a recent FAM trip to the Nickelodeon Hotel & Resort Punta Cana, this tells you all the reasons you should go NOW.
A short introduction to the theme for 2016 Best of the Best gala event for Travel Impressions, this animated video was a collaboration with Hanorah Hurley to explain what CommuniTI means to TI.
An iconic character gets a value-branded alter ego with this visual scavenger hunt introduction video pitched, scripted, directed, and starring my silly face for the company's annual 350+ attendee gala retreat.
Conceptualized, pitched, named, led, and executed by me alone, the #Karismacation social media campaign was an out-of-the-box idea that ended up being a massive hit, increasing agent consciousness, bookings, and brand recognition for the hotel chain. The link below goes to an intro video I scripted and starred in with a colleague.
With the grand unveiling of a new tagline and logo, the brand wanted to announce the thinking behind it in a catchy, unique way. I proposed motion graphics and contracted an amazing artist within my network for the job, and scripted the video here, supporting it with strong PR presence in time for the annual awards gala.
